Chapter 38
Mystery Revealed

The next morning, back as Adeline, she was still preparing for the competition, and without Nicholas, Adeline should admit it she felt so empty. Her class music without The Prince was so boring. He missed The prince a lot, even she knew she couldn’t be together with The Prince. Sir Michael kept teaching Adeline, and said Adeline show a great progress and even ready for the competition.

Willa took a deep breath on the gate. She should do this. She had to make sure, did really Kian is her son? Only with came to St. Peter to find out... She didn’t want to upset the boy by questioning him, but she really needed to know, was Kian really his son, or the boy just wished it. Poor boy if he did.

With nervously and braced herself, she knocked the door.
The door was opened by a warm sister.

    “Yes...?”
Willa smiled, “Excuse me, Sister, I’m Willa, I gave my baby here 17 years ago. The baby on the brown box, and he has breathing problem...?”
Sister tried to remember, and got numb as she recalled.

            Sir Michael listened to the Lady played, and he really couldn’t understand. She had no related with him, but she had his talent. And she looked like possessed by him whenever she played. He looked at her with curious and mesmerize.
      “What is it, Sir?” Adeline asked with calmly and pretty smile as she knew her tutor looked at her with strange look.
      “Your play, Milady, you really remind me to my old student. You have his talent, Milady, and when I see you played, I was like seeing his play. He was my best student I ever have.”
Adeline had to smile with proud, “I feel so honor, Sir,” with shyly.
     “Yes, you have, Milady. And it’s still I can’t get it, you have no related at all with him, not with Marques McFadden, Milady.”
Adeline went silent.
      “Could I meet him, Sir? I would be so honored if I could meet him in personal, Sir.” she asked carefully
That silent him.
      “No, I’m afraid you cannot meet him again, my dear. He passed away years ago, maybe before you were born,” he smiled bitterly.
Adeline’s face fell.
     “But I believe no one could ever compare Edward McGregor but you, Milady,” he said with no doubt.
Adeline totally froze with the name. Her heart beat so fast. Edward McGreggor? Could be he was…
     “Edward McGregor, Sir?” she asked nervously.
     “Yea… my brilliant student. And you have it all of him, Milady. It’s kind a bit bizarre….”
But Adeline knew that wouldn’t bizarre if he really was her father. And she could ask about him and Willa of course.
     “If he had a child it could be like you…,”
Adeline but her lips in pale, “So he hadn’t a child?” he asked fearfully. If he hadn’t child, Kian couldn’t be his son…
     “No… he never married. That poor lad passed away at the young age, his talent not as strong as his body. Poor lad,” he sighed. “And he was broken heart.”
      “Broken heart, Sir?”
      “Yea… loosing the women he loved.”
Adeline raised her attention, and kept listened.
Sir Michael smiled with the memory, “He loved the wrong woman. His maid, but he truly loved her.”
Adeline kept listened.
      “And this Willa, she really loved him. Their eyes never lied.”
With the name, Adeline’s heart stopped. Her eyes started to blur. ‘It’s really them.’
      “So what happened to them?”
Sir Michael sighed, “Well not much I heard, and it’s been long time ago. But I heard Willa got pregnant and that’s why she must leave. No love affair between master and a maid allowed. After she left, carrying his baby, Edward was so broken, and made everything worst with his health. And Lord McGregor still didn’t want to take Willa back, till Edward died in broken heart.”
      “And what happened to Willa?”
      “Nobody knows how she was doing, carrying her baby. Poor girl. But I heard she has a baby boy, and only God knows where there are now.”
Adeline sighed in pain.
     “And Lord McGregor…?” she asked him, as he was might Kian’s grandfather.
     “That old man still with his pride, didn’t want to try to find where Willa was as well his grandchildren, and still didn’t until now.”
Adeline even felt the pain, Kian’s grandfather really didn’t want him, so it would be no use confronting him and said ‘I’m your grandson.’
Adeline felt her tears down on her soft cheek.
      “Milady… are you crying?” a softly voice came through Adeline ear.
Adeline right away wiped her tears. “I’m sorry.. it’s very sad story there… Sir,” Adeline was trying to sound normal. “Hope she is and her baby are fine out there.”    
     “Yes…we didn’t know was the baby inherited his father talent as Edward was the greatest pianist we had in this country…
‘Yes, he has,’ Adeline with a little proud. At least she finally knew who Kian’s parents and he didn’t regret at all. He just needed to fix everything with his mother as she had been so suffered for him. She smiled little.
    “Well, that’s the whole story about my brilliant student. He had that tragic love story, so sad.
     “Yeah,” Adeline sighed can’t imagine what the life his parents had, being separated for only different social status. So Cruel.
     “Hey, I heard Prince Nicholas will come back this weekend,” Sir Michael changed the subject.
That numb her, “He will?”
      “Yea… with King and Queen Ireland, I heard….,”
That even numbed her, while Sir Michael smiled cheekily like he knew what he was waiting for.
      “Be ready Milady…,” he teased her.
She blushed, “Please no teas me, Sir…,”, smiled with confusing feeling.
Sir Michael just smiled, and took a deep breath,
     “Well, it’s been four hours, we could be rest now. We can continue it tomorrow”
Adeline sighed with smiled, “Yeah, we really lost track of time…..,”    
     “Yea… really nice to have you here, Milady.”
Adeline smiled, “Thank you, Sir Michael.”
     “Thank you for the great time we have, Milady,”
     “The pleasure is mine, Sir. Thank you very much. We meet again tomorrow,” giving her sweetest smile.
Sir Michael nodded, and kissed her upper hand, “Good Day, Milady.”
      “Good Day, Sir.”
Then with that Adeline stepped out and walk in rush to meet Shane who was waiting her on outside.

     “Shane!!”
Shane jumped up with Adeline yelled. He thought something happened, and he saw his lady was run to him.
     “Milady?” Shane couldn’t hide his worried eyes.
Adeline took Shane’s hand in shaken, and she dripped the tears, made Shane even worried,
     “Milady…?”
     “Shane… she’s really my mother…,” Adeline spoke shaking.
Shane stuned, and remember they are not supposed talk about this on outside
    “Come, Milady,” Shane took her to the cart and gave her a drink.
   “What happened, Milady?” he asked carefully.
Adeline took a deep breath, “Sir Michael… knew my father… Shane…, it’s Lord Edward McGregor. He was his student, his brilliant student. And Sir Michael always took resemble me with him, he said he was like looking at him when seeing me played, just like Willa said. And he knew Willa too. He knew about their love story and she was having baby. … It’s really her, Shane, Willa is my mother!”
Shane still looked at Adeline who still showed her sad face. “So why you look so sad when you finally sure you have found your mother?”
    “Because he didn’t want us! He didn’t even looking for us. He knew we are I’m exist, but he didn’t want us, didn’t want me.”
Shane even confused, “He..?”
    “Lord Martin McGrego r, my grandfather! He didn’t want me. He let mother stayed on the street carrying me inside. He abandoned us, He didn’t want us!” she couldn’t hold her anger anymore, and cried.
Shane’s heart fell. He knew what her Miss’s feeling. And he felt so sorry.
    “It doesn’t matter he didn’t want you, Miss, because you still have us, your family. And you have found your mother. Maybe is it time for you to take care of your mother?”
Adeline stunned in disbelieve.
    “Can I Shane?”
    “Of course, Milady. Like you said, we could find a nice house for her, and gave everything she never had.”
Adeline still didn’t believe, “I really can do that, Shane?”
     “Of course Milady,” Shane had to smile, “She’s your mother you just found, and this is your time to give anything she never had.”
     “Even giving her place to live?”
Shane had to nod, “Yes Milady.”
     “Can she lives at Greenville?” she asked shyly.
Shane went silent. He should know this.
     “Well, maybe we can find another place, Milady.”
Kian bit his lips.
    “But a very nice place to live. We could find it for her,” Shane added.
And it made sense Kian, then smiled. “Well, come on, what we’re waiting for. Let’s go there!”
    “Yes, Milady, but shouldn’t you change your dress first?”
That stopped her and looked her outfit. “Couldn’t I go there with this dress?”
Shane had to shake his head, “You will take full of intention. A lady doesn’t suppose to go to a bar, Milady, especially you, Milady.”
Adeline groaned, “Eurgh, I hate being a lady…! Where’s the suit, then?”
      “I have it, Milady.”
Adeline had to smile relief, “I love you Shane!”
Shane just smiled, ‘I love you too, Milady’
    “Wait Shane, McGregor, does it meant I related to Claudia McGreggor?” she went pale.
    “I’ll find out, Milady.”
    “Thank you Shane!”
Shane just smiled with nodded.

            Didn’t need long time, when Kian had changed the dress and found himself on the club with Shane behind him.

    “Where is she, Shane?” he scanned the club with impatient.
Shane scanned the bar, but didn’t found her, neither Kian.
    “Shane, where is she?” with little fear.
Wordless, Shane went to the bar and met Charlie.
    “You guys looking for Willa?” asked Charlie.
    “Yes!” Kian with impatient.
    “Sorry, lads, she’s leaving.”
Kian went pale. “Leaving?”
    “Yes. She said she needs to find her son.”
Kian even paled. “Her son? I’m her son!”
Charlie surprised. “You…?”
    “Yes!”
Charlie looked to Shane and he just nodded.
    “Does she know you are…,”
    “Of course she knows!” Kian angrily.
    “Kian calm down,” Shane calmed the boy. “Alright, where did she go?”
    “She said she’s going to Ireland. She got information her son was taken to Ireland with his new parents.”
Kian almost couldn’t breath. ‘No!’
    “Well if you hurry, you might catch her on the port. She’s leaving at 5.”
Shane looked to his watch, it had ten to five.
    “C’mon, Sir!” he pulled Kian’s hand who still shake in pale.
